The two days AICTE sponsored 2nd International Conference was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, KIET GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, Ghaziabad on “Communications and Electronics ”, ICCE 2013, on 28th-29th November, 2013 in collaboration with AICTE, New Delhi, IEEE- KIET Student Chapter, TBI-KIET(promoted by NSTDEB, DST Govt. of India), ST Enterprises, Ghaziabad, CETPA Infotech. Pvt. Ltd. And KIET-IJCE (International Journal on Communications and Electronics). The theme of the Conference was aptly chosen keeping in conformance with the industry demands and proliferation in the fields of Communication Systems, Electronic Systems, Microwave Engineering, Signal Processing and Applications and Networking Technologies. The seamless execution of any industrial process is dependent upon mutual interaction, synchronization and coherent operation of associated circuitry. Keeping in cognizance of the importance of research and exploration of interdisciplinary areas, the academic committee of KIET took an initiative to provide a platform for technical deliberations and exchange of novel ideas amongst stalwarts as well as amateurs in research. The Conference received a huge response in the form of paper submissions. One Hundred and fifty three papers were duly reviewed and sixty eight papers were selected for publication and presentation. This propitious occasion proved to be an immensely enriching experience. The day took off with a scintillating Inauguration ceremony thronged by the glitterati of the academia who were extended a warm welcome message by the Convener of the Conference. The audience had the pleasure to savor the august presence of none other than the erudite and esteemed Mr. Sandeep Gupta, Addl. General Manager, NTPC Dadri. He has worked with Punj Lloyd, L&T, Hindustan Motors and ONGC before joining NTPC. He has been trained in Germany and Japan in various aspects of Power Generation area. He is also a certified Energy Auditor from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Govt of India and completed PGDM from MDI Gurgaon in 2007. Presently, he is heading Maintenance of 829 MW NTPC Dadri Gas Power Station as Addl. General Manager. As Chief Guest, he added his Midas touch to the event by enlightening us with his insights and few anecdotes from his vast pool of knowledge and experience. Among other dignitaries who graced the occasion were our revered Director, Dr. Narendra Kumar, Dr. Gajendra Singh, Additional Director, Prof. A.K. Sinha, Dean Academics and Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Departmental Head, Dr Navneet Kaushik, Senior consultant , Cadence India Pvt. Limited, Noida and Guest of Honour Dr. Abhishek Tomar, Associate Professor, G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttrakhand. Director appreciated the endeavors of the team members and especially the enthusiasm of the students. Prof. Abhishek Tomar stressed on the importance of organizing such technical symposiums, seminars and conferences which will bring together the academic and research fraternity.
