Established in 2021, the Department of PR & International Relations at KIET (Deemed-to-be University) is dedicated to fostering effective communication, building strategic national/ international partnerships, and cultivating a global perspective within the KIET community. - Manage and enrich the institute's reputation, build strong relationships with stakeholders, strategically communicate key messages, and ensure a positive and influential presence in the community and the media.
- Safeguard and strengthen the institute's relationships by monitoring public opinion, identifying potential issues or crises, and implementing proactive strategies to mitigate any negative impact by cultivating a positive image through consistent and transparent communication.

The Centre for Global Linguistics is dedicated to nurturing global citizens through the power of language. We offer Japanese, German, French, and Spanish as part of the first-year B.Tech and MBA curriculum, alongside short-term Summer/Winter Schools and our flagship Lingua Connect Global Certification Program. By combining language proficiency with cultural understanding, we prepare students to thrive in international academic, professional, and social spaces.

Lingua Connect Global Certificate Course
Our flagship Lingua Connect Global Certification Program provides structured certificate courses in Japanese, German, French, and Spanish. Aligned with international standards, each level equips learners with strong linguistic skills, cultural insights, and preparation for globally recognized certification—opening doors to higher education, international mobility, and diverse career opportunities.
Here is the level-wise framework of languages, we offer in this global certification course
Japanese
- Recognize and use basic Japanese characters (Hiragana & Katakana and Kanji).
- Introduce yourself, greet others, and talk about everyday routines.
- Understand simple classroom instructions and short, familiar expressions.
- Read short texts with Kanji (basic set).
- Communicate about shopping, travel, food, and hobbies.
- Write simple sentences and personal notes.
- Understand the main points of conversations in daily contexts.

German Language

For First-Year Students: A Gentle Introduction
In your very first year, you can begin exploring Japanese through our Introductory Japanese Language Course—a thoughtfully designed experience that welcomes complete beginners. French Language
Learning a foreign language empowers students to stand out in a dynamic job market and adapt to multicultural work environments. CGL offers a French Certificate Course and Summer/Winter School Programs aligned with the internationally recognized Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Students prepare systematically, progressing through CEFR levels (A1 to B2), and are encouraged to appear for the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) examinations conducted by the French Ministry of Education.
To enrich the learning experience, French Language Experts frequently visit the campus to deliver guest lectures, sharing insights on language, culture, and global opportunities. The Centre also organizes the celebration of French festivals, immersing students in Francophone culture and enhancing intercultural understanding.

Spanish Language

FAQs
1. Who can register for the foreign language courses?
All 1st-year B.Tech and MBA students are automatically introduced to a foreign language as part of their curriculum. Additionally, any interested student can register for the Summer/Winter School or the Lingua Connect Global Certification Program.
2. Do I need any prior knowledge of the language?
No prior knowledge is required. All courses start at the beginner level (A1) and progress gradually.
3. Which languages are offered?
Currently, we offer Japanese, German, French, and Spanish.
4. How are the classes conducted?
Classes are interactive, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing practice. Our trainers use role plays, audio-visual tools, and cultural activities to make learning engaging.
5. What is the duration of the certificate courses under Lingua Connect?
Each level (A1–B1) has a specific duration ranging from 40–60 hours, depending on the language. Details are provided at the time of registration.
6. Are these courses internationally recognized?
Yes. The course framework is aligned with CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), which is recognized worldwide.
7. Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes. Students who successfully complete a level receive a Lingua Connect Global Certificate, issued by the Centre for Global Linguistics.
8. What are the benefits of learning a foreign language?
