2nd International E-Symposium on “Women and Girls Science” in association with HealthPrax, Berlin, Germany on 11-Feb-2022 by KSOP

KIET Group of Institutions has Organized an Online 2nd International E-Symposium on “Women and Girls Science” in collaboration with HealthPrax, Berlin, Germany on 11-02-2022.

The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Malliga Iyer, NIAAA/ National Institute of Health, USA. The inaugural ceremony was witnessed by honorable Director KIET Group of Institutions- Dr. A Garg, Joint Director, KIET Group of Institutions- Dr. Manoj Goel, Dean Academics, KIET Group of Institutions-Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Convener & Principal, KIET School of Pharmacy- Prof. (Dr.) K. Nagarajan, Organizing Secretary -Dr. Vaishali M. Patil, Joint Organizing Secretary- Mr. Praveen Kumar Dixit and Ms. Vidhu Saxena and coordinators Dr. Monika Kaurav, Ms. Shipra Singhal and Mr. Himanshu Agrawal.

The theme of the International E-Symposium was relevant to the current trends so as to highlight the achievements of women in the field of sciences. The invited keynote speakers who spanned the day belong from renowned industrial and academic backgrounds like Dr. Malliga Iyer - NIAAA/ National Institute of Health, USA, Dr. Sushama Talegaonkar- Delhi pharmaceutical sciences research university Delhi, India, Dr Eleonora Bulghadaryan- MeiCook, Germany, Tina Nayak, Co-Founder, Useristics, Berlin, Germany, Vaishali Uniyal -Head of Science, Pipits Business Management GmbH, Germany, Dr. Yojna Sah Jain –Founder & CEO, Healthprax, India etc.

Dr. A. Garg, Director, KIET Group of Institutions, extended his wholeheartedly welcome of the chief guest and all the delegates. He focused on the extensive need for advancements in the field of sciences by women and girls as the need of the hour. He also congratulated Principal KSOP and the organizing team for the meticulous planning and smooth conduction of the International E-Symposium.

Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director welcomed the delegates and conveyed his blessings and best wishes for the successful completion of the event. Principal KIET School of Pharmacy and Convenor of International E-Symposium, Dr. K. Nagarajan welcomed Hon’ble Chief Guest, Director, Joint Director, Dean Academics, and all the delegates. He highlighted the upcoming activities of the event. The event witnessed its inaugural ceremony, where around 260 participants across the 25 different institutes participated out of which 10 participated in the extempore competition, 44 in quiz competition, and 10 in Videology competition.

Prof. (Dr.) Anil K. Ahlawat, Dean Academics, extended his best wishes for the International E-Symposium. Dr. Malliga Iyer, Chief Guest, appreciated the efforts of the KIET Group of Institutions in imparting quality education not only specific to Delhi NCR but to complete northern India. She blessed the gathering with his expert insight and knowledge sharing on her journey from IIT-Bombay to the USA to become a scientist in the field of chemistry also addressed the participants about the recent progress done by women and girls in the field of science from past to present. Dr. Sushama Talegaonkar, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, DPSRU, New Delhi has delivered her concern and problems of women’s social health. Dr. Eleonora Bulghadaryan, Ms. Tina Nayak, and Ms. Vaishali Uniyal talked about innovative science technologies.

Dr. Vaishali. M. Patil, Organizing Secretary of the International E-Symposium put forward the vote of thanks and extended her gratitude to the eminent chief guest, all dignitaries, and delegates for the successful completion of the inaugural ceremony. The event also witnessed the presence of Prof. (Dr). N. G. Raghvendra Rao, Additional Head, KSOP, Prof. (Dr.) Ashu Mittal along with all the faculty members and other delegates. At end of the E-Symposium, all the winners and participants have received certificates of appreciation.

The event ended up with a Vote of thanks from Dr. Vaishali M. Patil.
