Industrial Visit at IIT Roorkee Campus by Civil Engineering Department for the students of Civil Engineering 3rd year & 4th year on 26 & 27th of April 2022
The Department of Civil Engineering organized an industrial visit for the students of Civil Engineering 3rd year & 4th year on 26 & 27th of April 2022. A total of 100 Students along with faculty members Mr. Sarvpriya, Mr. Siddharth Jain, Mr. Vikas Sharma & Mr. Shubham Kumar visited the prestigious R&D Centre CSIR-CBRI (Central Building Research Institute) at IIT Roorkee Campus. Student visited the R&D Labs of Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Fire Engineering, Organic Building Materials Engineering & Rural park and saw the various latest lab equipments and their working.
Thereafter, Students visited the IRI (Irrigation research Institute) Roorkee, a premier institute in the field of Hydraulic Modeling, Civil Engineering, Material Testing & Ground Water studies. It is a Government of Uttarakhand institute under the administrative control of Irrigation Department of Uttarakhand. On the visit, students saw the working models of Tehri dam, nepal dam and got the physical exposure of other important hydraulic structures and their elements.
