SDG Aligned Activity Outcomes with Objectives

To promote industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. The students learned why it is important to advance inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
Partnership for the Goals Students felt a connect with Alumnus and they feel free to connect with their senior and found such activities beneficial.
Raising Awareness about Sustainable Cities and Decent Work & Economic Growth. An open discussion on these goals provided with different sustainable ideas to put these goals to work.

KIET is privileged to have Mr. Arpit Kumar Singh, as a resource person from the industry for the expert Alumni talk. He is also the alumni of KIET Batch 1999-2003. Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Shrivastava (HOD, CS) welcomed the speaker with the Oxi-plant. The session was planned for the second-year students of CS Dept. who are already studying the microprocessor as a subject. Session was started with the welcome note and introduction of the guest by Prof. Abhishek Goyal, Assistant Professor, CS Dept. He shared the guest profile and shared his memories of Satyam Technologies of 2003, where both worked together in Bengaluru.

Further the session was taken care by Mr. Arpit, and he gave insight to the students about the microprocessor and its terminologies. Mr. Arpit discussed about the designing and packaging of Chips and ICs. He took the examples of mobile phones and how the ICs and processors are integrated. He showed the video of Silicon Valley and how the engineers aim to be a part of Silicon Valley.

During session, speaker also asked questions and it was an interactive and fruitful session. Many students ask the doubts and questions which were well addressed by the speaker. In the end of the session, Dr. Ajay Kumar Shrivastava, Head, CS Dept, and Dr. Binkey Srivastava, Head AEC, gave the token of appreciation from KIET family to Mr. Arpit Kumar Singh as a gratitude.

During the workshop, 200 students got benefitted. Prof. Arti Sharma, Prof. Harsh Khatter, Prof. Rahul, Prof. Amit Sanger, Prof. Shivani and many more faculty members were present and were part of the session. The workshop was well coordinated by Prof. Abhishek Goyal and Prof. Arti Sharma.

After the talk, Head CS, Add. Head CS and the guest speaker had the discussion about placements, training and workshops in HOD Cabin and had a cup of tea.
