Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwary is serving in KIET Group of Institutions as Dean, B. Tech. 1st Year and Professor & Head, Department of Civil Engineering. He completed his Ph. D. Degree from M.I.T. Muzaffarpur in Civil Engineering. He started his academic career as Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at M.I.T. Muzaffarpur. Later, served as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering, at D.I.T. University, Dehradun and as Professor & Dean, School of Civil Engineering at Galgotias University, Delhi-NCR. His specialization is in the field of Structural Engineering. He has contributed several research papers in the journals and presented several papers in the conferences. His research interest includes Design of Concrete Structures, Prestressed Concrete Structures and Steel Structures. He has carried out several consultancy assignments for organizations like NHAI, NHPC, Govt. of Bihar etc. He is member of various professional societies like Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Society for Technical Education etc. He was Honorary Secretary of Institution of Engineers (India), Bihar Centre. He is also the Chartered Engineer of Institution of Engineers (India).
