The Happiness and Cognition Centre successfully concluded an enriching Eight-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Universal Human Values II (UHV-II) from July 31st to August 7th, 2023

The FDP on UHV-II was conducted for a duration of 08 days, starting from July 31, 2023, to August 07, 2023. The workshop took place at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad. A total of 63 participants were registered for the FDP. However, 55 participants could reach it physically and forty-seven participants completed it successfully.

Formal Inauguration:

The FDP commenced with a formal inauguration, graced by distinguished individuals. Along with all departmental heads of the Institute the Director Dr. (Col.) Amik Garg graced the event with their presence. As per the AICTE norms, the inauguration was very formal and simple. Ms. Pallavi Sharma (Prof., KIET) introduced the Resource Person, Co-facilitator, Local Program Coordinators, and Observer to the audience. The observer Mr. R. P. Singh informed the rules and regulations to the audience to ensure sincerity during the FDP. His insightful remarks set the tone for the FDP, inspiring participants to actively engage in the upcoming sessions.

Resource Person:

Mr. Moti Chand Yadav served as the main resource person for the UHV-II FDP. With a set of vast experience, Mr. Moti Chand Yadav delivered UHV sessions as per the norms and schedule defined by the AICTE. The session was very interactive, and I observed that each participant was indulged and could relate the content with their life.

Co-Facilitator:

Dr. Manishi Mishra was appointed as the co-facilitator for the workshop. Her support and guidance complemented the sessions led by Mr. Moti Chand Yadav, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching learning experience for the participants.

Local Program Coordinators:

Dr. Amit Kumar and Dr. Kapil Sharma, as the Local Program Coordinators, worked diligently to ensure the smooth organization and execution of the FDP. They arranged logistics, coordinated participant registrations, and facilitated a conducive learning environment for all attendees.

Adherence to AICTE Norms:

The UHV-II FDP strictly adhered to the norms and guidelines set by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This ensured that the workshop was structured appropriately, covering relevant topics, and aligning with the framework outlined by the AICTE.

Well-Organized Workshop:

The UHV-II FDP was meticulously organized, demonstrating adherence to AICTE norms, and was self-funded. The college provided lunch along with tea and snacks. The sessions were thoughtfully planned, incorporating interactive discussions with practical examples to enhance participants' understanding and application of universal human values. The sum-up and program of action were addressed by Dr. Arvind Sharma (Head-HCC). The participants got the view and idea for the regular activity/programs of HCC-KIET and they showed their commitment to continue the process of exploration with the help of these programs and regular activities of HCC-KIET. All the participants are very keen to join the higher-level workshops at UHV.

Conclusion:

The UHV-II Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values conducted at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad proved to be a successful and enriching experience. The presence of Mr. Moti Chand Yadav as the resource person, supported by Dr. Manishi Mishra as the co-facilitator, added immense value to the FDP. The dedicated efforts of the Local Program Coordinators, Dr. Amit Kumar and Dr. Kapil Sharma ensured the smooth organization and logistical arrangements for the workshop. The FDP adhered to AICTE norms and provided a well-structured learning environment, fostering active participation and knowledge sharing amongst the 47 attendees. Overall, the UHV-II FDP effectively promoted the understanding and integration of universal human values, enhancing the personal and professional lives of the participants. Certain suggestions were accepted to maintain the regularity of the meetings related to human values while involving all the faculty members. This may result in producing responsible and sensible engineers for society, who may contribute to various developmental paths for the entire Globe.
