The goal of the department is to make students industry-ready by aligning this program to the current technologies and practices in the area of Industrial Automation and Control Engineering. The department has an independent block with well-equipped Labs, Classrooms with LCD facilities, Departmental Computer Centre, Departmental Library, and Faculty rooms. As a wealth the department has a strong team of faculty members who are highly dedicated and committed. These faculty members have expertise in the field of Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation, Electronic Devices and Microwave Engineering. Well-equipped laboratories provide the desired hands-on training on key subjects like Transducers and Sensors, Measurement and Control, Electronic Devices, Electronic Circuits, Digital Electronics, Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers. Apart from curriculum, students are specially trained in the latest technologies and software’s used in automation industries like PLC, SCADA, DCS, LabVIEW, etc. to enhance their employability skills. The Department has been able to establish a strong industrial interaction. It has signed MoUs with EMERSON Process Management and Schneider Electric for internship, placement, projects, guest lectures etc. Students of the department have been placed in reputed industries like IOCL, Bajaj Energy, International Centre for Automotive Technology, Pernod Ricard, Johnson Control, Samsung Heavy Engineering, EMERSON Process Management, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., in the core sector and TCS, Bank of America, Torrent Power, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, etc. in the IT sector. Some students are also pursuing higher studies in Foreign Universities and Eminent Institutes of India.
