Dr. Abhishek Kumar is working as assistant professor (Pharmacology) at KIET School of Pharmacy, KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad since 18 Aug 2018. He have submitted my Ph.D. on July, 2016 in Pharmacy at Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Apart from various intramural self financed research projects, Dr. Kumar have received two research grants from DST-SERB (as PI) under EMEQ scheme of 17.26 lacs and from AKTU (as Co-I) under VRPS scheme of 5.0 lacs, for research. He spent last 11 years of his master’s and doctoral research work at the institute, working thoroughly on preclinical liver and breast cancer projects. During this period, he learned many in-vitro and in-vivo preclinical and molecular pharmacology based lab techniques. Moreover being a pharmacologist, he worked with most of the primarily used lab animals in assisting various preclinical projects like toxicology, neuro-pharmacology, wound healing, cardiac, diabetes, anti-allergic, angiogenesis and many other studies of undergraduate and postgraduate students. He have worked on molecular biology techniques, preclinical disease model development, bio analytical and proteomics techniques. He have also worked on many instruments like spectrophotometers, pharmacology lab instruments and equipments, FT-IR, Lieca microscopy, SEM, electrophoresis etc. He is also familiar with pharmacology lab techniques, animal handling and preclinical surgical procedure under ethical guidelines and addition to that also with various aspects of herbal extraction and their pharmacognostical, phytochemical and pharmacological screening. He is also proverbial with English grammar usage and have no trouble adapting to various style guides of communication. Dr. Kumar have a keen interest in academic teaching and research as well and always believe in promoting implementation of newer approaches and techniques on concept based learning and teaching in my
