Advance Electronics System Lab

This lab provides basic and advanced facilities for UG and PG coursework related experiments, project work and research facilities in the area of device modelling, simulation and various aspects of front end VLSI design flow. This lab can be used by B. Tech. and M. Tech. students to enhance their skill and improvement for FPGA implementation of module. The objective of the lab is to prepare students for device modelling, simulation, synthesis ORCAD (PSpice) tools

Control System Lab

This Lab & its experiments will help the students to acquire the skills associated with converting the paper-based into a practical system such as familiarization with MATLAB control system toolbox, determination of step response for first order and second order system with unity feedback on CRO & calculation of control system specification like Time constant, % peak overshoot. settling time etc., from the response and also determination of Root locus, Bode plot, Nyquist plot using MATLAB control system toolbox for 2nd order system & determination of different control system specifications from the plot.

Digital Electronics Lab

Logic Design Lab/Digital Electronics Lab is catering to the needs of facilities in the electronics field by training the students to make valuable contributions. This lab is used by B. Tech second year students of different branches like Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation and Computer Science. Digital Electronics Laboratory is fully equipped with the required instruments such as C.R.O., Multi-meters, signal Generator etc. to conduct experiments with digital ICs for UG students. It helps students to enhance their knowledge about various electronics equipment like shift registers, counters, adders, subtractors and seven segment display devices etc. The objective of this lab is to prepare the students for a good foundation in electronics field so that they become graduates and effective system engineers.

Network Analysis & Synthesis Lab

In the Network Lab we analyse different electrical circuits using network theorems. The objective of the lab is to make the student familiar with the various network theorems and their applications on circuits. Students are further made familiar with two port network and transient & amp frequency response of RLC circuits by plotting the responses practically. This gives students a better understanding of the problem as they can see the response of the circuit practically by performing on actual electrical circuit using CRO. This lab is a very essential part of Electronics Engineering in which students are familiarized with the electrical connections, how they are made and practically how the circuit gives a response.

E-Yantra Lab

This lab is funded by MHRD and started by IIT Bombay. In this lab we give the basic idea for designing a robot. After that we can introduce our own problems and design that. We have Atmel software for programming the AVR microcontroller. In this lab we have 7 Fire Bird V robots which are provided by IIT Bombay. And many other tools like zig-bee, dc motors etc. So this lab is very helpful for those students who have interest in Robotics.

Advance PCB lab

The Advance PCB Lab is sponsored by AICTE under MODROB scheme. This lab is fully equipped with hardware & software tools. Single & double Sided PCB of Analog & Digital circuits can be designed in this Lab. In order to design the layout of complex circuits Target-3001 software is available. A plated Thru-Hole facility is also available in order to make double sided PCB. A spin coater system is available to make a uniform & thin coating of chemicals on a glass epoxy sheet. A vacuum U.V exposure unit is available to make double sided PCB with proper resolution. A dry film laminator facility is also available which is helpful in double sided PCB designing. Along with above facilities, all the basic facility for PCB designing is available in this Lab. This Lab is useful for faculty, staff and students for their research work / higher study & completion of project work.

Optical Integrated Circuit Lab

The objective of the lab is to prepare students with a good foundation in optical communication field so that they become graduates and effective system engineers.

Antenna & Microwave Lab

Microwave and Antenna Lab is used by B. Tech students to enhance their skills in the Microwave Communication field. It consists of various microwave benches having Klystron and Gunn diode as microwave sources. By using these benches we can find out various characteristics of microwave devices like couplers, tees, circulators, isolators, etc. This lab also includes experiments of optical fibre communication & various antennas. By using the Trainers, we can develop Analog and Digital communication link and also used for verification of multiplexing and demultiplexing of signals. The objective of the lab is to prepare students with a good foundation in the communication field so that they become graduates and effective system engineers.

Optical Communication and Networking lab

This lab is designed to present the key elements driving the growth in optical communication and networking systems. Within the lab the principles of optical fibre are presented; also, framing in digital time division multiplexing is described. Furthermore, this lab demonstrates various components and commands of networking such as Cat5 cable, RJ 45 Connector, Crimping Tool, Wire Stripper etc. In particular, it presents detailed coverage of Configuring router, web servers, DHCP servers and VLAN. The lab aims to provide specialized knowledge of the methodologies and techniques involved in the design and implementation of optical communication systems and networking.

Computer Simulation Lab

M. Tech Computer Simulation Lab provide the faculty members and M. Tech, B. Tech students, a platform to enhance their knowledge. In this lab we have many Software designing tools for research and development as well as for projects of M. Tech and B. Tech students. This lab is used by M. Tech (first year and second year) and B. Tech (third year and final year) of Electronics & Communication Engineering. In this lab we have TANNER (Electronic Design Automation - EDA for VLSI Design), IE3D SUPER STRUCTURE DESIGNER (IE3D Simulation is used to simulate various RF/Microwave Circuits ), QUALNET (Simulation of Link Design of Satellite Communication, Mobile Network , Computer Network System & Sensor Network), Logic Analyzer instrument (Data analysis of operations of digital hardware circuits) and Spectrum Analyzer (Spectrum Analyzer is ideal for installation and maintenance, spectrum monitoring). The objective of this lab is to enhance the knowledge and development of faculty members as well as of students in the field of research and development of Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Communication System Lab

Communication Laboratory (Lab) caters to the needs of facilities in the communication field by training the students to make valuable contribution. This lab is used by B. Tech students of different branches like Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation and Computer Science. This lab is equipped with Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, cathode-ray oscilloscope, Function generators & various kits for implementing and understanding Communication circuits/ techniques. It helps the students to enhance their knowledge about various Communication techniques like AM, FM, PM, DSB-SC, SSB-SC, PAM, PPM, PWM, PCM etc. All the experiments prescribed in & beyond the curriculum are performed. The objective of this lab is to prepare the students with a good foundation in Communication field. Also, it provides adequate opportunities for Students / Research Scholars to learn and innovate in the Communication field.

Advance Communication System Lab

Advanced Communication Lab caters to the needs of the advanced facilities in communication field by training the students to make a valuable contribution. This lab is used by B. Tech, M. Tech students to enhance their skills in the communication field and also used for their final semester thesis. Apart this faculty members who are involved in research work also use it for their research purpose.

Advance Integrated Circuits Lab

Advanced Integrated Circuits Lab has been set up with the objective of providing facilities required for simulation, analysis and design of a wide range of Analog and digital circuits and systems so as to enable a designer/engineer meet the requirements of design and development of practical circuits and projects of a wide variety. This lab has been funded by AICTE under the MODROBS scheme. The lab is equipped with OrCAD Pspice simulation software and 2+16 channel Mixed Signal Oscilloscope so that accurate measurement and analysis of circuits becomes possible.

Integrated Circuits Lab

IC lab caters to the need of facilities in the electronics field by training the students to make a valuable contribution. This lab is used by B. Tech students. It helps students to enhance their knowledge about various electronics equipment both passive as well as active. In this Analog integrated lab, designing of various filters, comparators, log-antilog amplifiers and peak detector circuits is done using operational amplifier IC. This lab is very essential for students to learn theoretical concepts by designing circuits practically. The objective of this lab is to prepare its students with a good foundation in electronics field so that they become graduates and effective systems engineers.

Electronics Design/Electronic Circuits lab

Electronics lab caters to the needs of facilities in the electronics field by training the students to make a valuable contribution. This lab is used by B. Tech students. It helps students to enhance their knowledge about various electronics equipment - both passive as well as active. Electronics is distinct from electrical and electro-mechanical science and technology, which deals with the generation, distribution, switching, storage and conversion of electrical energy to and from other energy forms using wires, motors, generators, batteries, switches, relays, transformers, resistors and other passive components. The objective of this lab is to prepare its students with a good foundation in electronics field so that they become graduate and effective system engineers.

Signals and Systems Lab

The goal of this lab is to familiarize students with the basics of writing functions and using the functions in MATLAB. MATLAB can be used for solving and analysing various mathematical problems. In this lab, students learn to implement custom designed functions and use them for plotting various figures.
